1. San Diego Zoo (Balboa Park)

The world-famous San Diego Zoo has lots of things to do for kids in itself. It houses over 3,700 rare and endangered animals, as well as a beautiful display of over 700,000 exotic plants across 100 acres. You can just walk around and enjoy the exhibits or keep an eye out for kid-themed events happening on weekends.

5. Old Town San Diego

Old Town is a fun place to run around. On top of the variety of shops and restaurants, there is a great park and many historic sites.
