The list of available fine and formal dining options in and around Encinitas is a large one. Many people that have spent their lives growing up in and raising children in Encinitas have still yet to experience all of the wonderful local chef creations.
If you have never visited The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, you are missing out on a great local get away not far from any San Diego, La Jolla, or Encinitas home. The Lodge at Torrey Pines overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is situated next to the Torrey Pines Golf Course, specifically by the 18th hole. It is a large resort with plenty of banquet space, a spa and two restaraunts with dining areas. It is an absolute gorgeous location and hosts frequent events. Last night, the Lodge at Torrey Pines hosted a unique beer pairing dinner event.
The event featured a pairing of four different locally brewed beers by Ballast Point with a menu by Chef Kyle Bergman. If you did not make last night’s event for any reason, there is no need to worry, as this was the first beer pairing event of a series. They will be taking place on every last Wednesday of the month for months to come. Ballast Point is a local brewery that brews many award winning and tasty beers and is the winner of the 2010 Small Brewer of the Yest Award at the World Beer Cup.
