There is a football game tonight in San Diego for anyone looking for some pre-holiday entertainment or if you’re just looking for things to do in San Diego. The San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl kicks off tonight at 5:00 PM and features the Aztecs of San Diego State University vs. the Midshipmen of Navy. This is the sixth annual edition of the Poinsettia Bowl and it takes place at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, the home of the San Diego Chargers.
The Poinsettia Bowl will be a very entertaining one as the home team Aztecs are making their first bowl appearance since 1998! San Diego State has a fast paced, and high scoring offense while Navy features a punishing running game behind their triple option offense. The San Diego State Aztecs feature some local stars from the San Diego area in QB Ryan Lindley (of El Capitan High).
Tickets for the Poinsettia Bowl are still available so check out the Poinsetta Bowl website for available tickets. The Poinsettia Bowl airs on ESPN tonight so if you don’t have tickets to the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego, then you can watch it on TV at your Encinitas house or head to one of the local sports bars in Encinitas in time for kickoff at 5 PM.
