Whether you are looking to prep homes for sale in Encinitas or are just looking to get your Encinitas home looking it’s best for spring, here are some tips from an Encinitas Realtor on the most effective methods to prepare your home for spring.
Bedroom
If you are looking to freshen-up your home, the bedroom is a great place to start. Try rotating you mattress and swap out your heavy blankets for lighter linens to prepare for the warmer season.
If you have children you may want to use this time to update their room(s) as well. Now may be the best time to rearrange some of the major furniture pieces and give the room a thorough cleaning while you are at it, especially if you intend on having the room viewed by potential buyers.
Bring in Some Color
You don’t have to purchase all new furniture to add a bit of color to your home and help it represent the season. You can add a few brighter throw pillows, a printed rug, a colorful vase, some flowers or green plants, or even spring branches that are just beginning to bloom.
You may even want to consider adding elements with pastel colors IF they fit the color scheme of the room. You can also color coordinate certain rooms using green accessories such as pillows, blinds, plants, and other accents.
Take Care of Your Exterior
If you are looking to sell your Encinitas home you will want to have an inspection performed and make the exterior of your home look its best and the same can be said of general spring cleaning.
Have your gutters cleaned. If you don’t have the time or are worried about safety hire a professional. Take a look around your house and see how the paint is fairing and consider updating the exterior paint job.
