Encinitas is well known for its scenic beaches and views, the surfing culture, and a history of strong community. In addition, it’s also established itself as a front-runner in the West Coast foodie scene. From festivals to critically acclaimed restaurants, you’ll find Encinitas is a wonderful place for just about anyone who appreciates great food.
This year marks the 10th annual San Diego International Beer Competition, where the best breweries in the West Coast compete to serve their brews at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Over the past decade, this competition has drawn industry praise and over 300 beers from around the world. The Festival will be held this year from June 17-19, and the deadline for entry is March 25 by midnight- there’s also a $45 processing fee for each entry.
Every Saturday at 2pm, Bite San Diego hosts a Walking Encinitas Restaurant Tour for just $45. You’ll try out the best restaurants in San Diego by making your way down Highway 101. There are only 12 spots available for each tour, so make sure you purchase tickets in advance here!
Another event guaranteed to have a large turnout is the Encinitas Rotary Wine and Food Festival. Not only will there be fine wines and food from around the world such as crepes and gelato, funds will be donated to local charities that support either children or the community. The Festival will be held on June 4 at the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course, and tickets can be purchased here.
