Using Pinterest for Real Estate

The content sharing service/social networking tool known as Pinterest has been a favorite place for many people to share pictures and ideas, but now it is proving itself to be a valuable tool for Encinitas real estate as well.

Not only has Pinterest extended into business profiles, which allows me as an Encinitas Realtor to easily share my listings on the site, it is also a perfect tool to help real estate clients express what they are looking for in their dream home in a quick and efficient manner.

For example, as someone interested in purchasing a home for sale in Encinitas you can create your own “Dream Home” board directly on Pinterest, picking and choosing the amenities you would like to see in a home. If you love what a friend has done with the remodeling of their bedroom you can take pictures and immediately upload them to your board or if you see a series of pictures of landscaping that you would like to mimic you can pin them on Pinterest. The photos are immediately shared and you can give your real estate agent a very clear picture instantly of what you would like in a home.

Pinterest is also a great tool for Realtors, allowing us to post pictures of homes for sale and direct viewers to the MLS listings for more information, or you can create an entire board dedicated to one home. It can also be used by real estate agents to provide an idea of what the city or town in which we work has to offer those looking to buy homes there.
