Moving can be tough and time-consuming. We are in a rare age, however, where an opportune window is open for sellers in the housing market! Mortgage rates are low and the demand for houses is high, so many sellers are diving in to reap the rewards. But how do you know if it’s the right time for you to sell?

It may be a good time to sell if:

You’re looking to upgrade your house and obtain a better mortgage rate. If you want to upgrade, the time is now! Take advantage of the low mortgage rates while they are here.
You want to take advantage of the competitive conditions. While the supply is growing, there is still time to take advantage of the market conditions! These conditions won’t stay like this forever.
You’re okay with renting for a bit. Unless you have another home, it may be difficult to find a replacement for yours. You may need to rent a bit if you are thinking of selling your home.

While there are a bunch of reasons to sell your home, there are some that may lead you to stay/ Wait to sell if:

Your home has been recently refinanced. This will get messy financially and is not the best idea for your future.
You aren’t emotionally ready to sell. It’s okay to be attached to a home or place! If you aren’t ready to sell, there is no need to push yourself.
You can’t afford the market. If the market conditions make you money, they might also lose you money. The prices for homes are steep, and you may not be able to afford the current market.
