San Diego Housing Starts Slowly as Buyer’s Season Begins in March
- Linda Moore, Neighborhoods and News
- $427000 median price for March, 30-year-fixed mortgage, DataQuick, Freddie Mac, Linda Moore, March median price, San Diego Association of Realtors, San Diego Housing Market, San Diego real estate, San Diego Union-Times
- April 16, 2014
Like the start of the year, the San Diego housing market is slowly beginning at the start of the peak buying season. The year over year was down 20 percent, but from a month-to-month standpoint, March increased its median price to $410,000 with 2,541 sales. This start is the slowest for San Diego since March 2009, but Southern California is having similiar issues – especially in Orange County and Los Angeles County. However, experts from University of San Diego and DataQuick both see the market to make a push as summer comes a little bit closer.
