What’s Going on in Encinitas This Weekend?

There is a lot going on in Encinitas this weekend and I am here to give you the lowdown on a few events you might want to check out.

Music by the Sea Concert

The 5^th season of the Music by the Sea concert series starts this Friday night. The Encore Saxophone Quartet will be playing at 7:30 p.m. at the Encinitas Library. Tickets are 14 dollars and can be bought here. For more information on the rest of the 2016-2017 season, check out this article:

Wavecrest Meet

This Saturday September 17^th is the annual largest gathering of vintage woodie cars. The cars and their owners will start gathering at 8 a.m. It is predicted that there will be around 300 woodies of various shapes, sizes, and descriptions. There will be Hawaiian and surf music performed live throughout the event. Get more information here:

2016 Summer Slam at La Paloma Theater

This Saturday night the Full Moon Poets and the 101 Artists’ Colony/Arts Alive Foundation have teamed up to bring us the 2016 Summer Poetry Slam. The event is completely free and anyone is welcome to enter. The “poet’s call” starts at 6 p.m. where anyone can put their names in a bucket and the first 17 drawn will be a part of the lineup.
